Medical Mission Ecuador
The Integrated Health Sciences team has been proudly involved with the amazing non-profit organization Medical Mission Ecuador since 2015. They do amazing work to help children affected by neurological diseases who don’t have access to sufficient medical care by providing free surgeries, physical and occupational therapy, medication, equipment, and education to their parents and families on how to care for child in the future.
Every year, we donate 1% of our profits to this worthy cause, in addition to sending our staff down to Ecuador to work with MME and help these children. This year, we got a ton of help from our patients to fundraise and were able to make a huge difference in the lives of not only the children affected, but their families as well.

❤️345 patients evaluated by ortho surgeons plus physical therapy ❤️143 wheelchairs fitted, administered, and/or tuned up
❤️756 treatments combined between PT, OT, and orthotics
❤️72+ knee immobilizers administered
❤️❤️1,246 total treatments by the rehab team in 4 days
❤️❤️~4,000+ lives are forever changed. Mobility for one child has a ripple effect on their caregivers, family, friends, and also inspires all of us as a care team.
